| In October 2013, Sr. Regina’s friend Carmen Corpuz of Lompoc, California insisted that she take supplies for her trip back to Nigeria. On Friday, November 15, 2013, Carmen handed her two suitcases filled with medicine. The moment Sister received the medicine; she felt her calling to establish free medical clinics that would help take care of the poor. It is in keeping with the injunction of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 25:40, “whatever you do to the least of my brethren that you do unto me”. The search for medical care will bring people to us so we can also help them in other ways. Pope Francis has asked that we share love, show mercy, and reach out to the poor.
