Welcome to Maranatha Caring Mission
We opened our doors on December 8, 2016 to welcome, bring hope, and provide care to the sick and poor at Maranatha Caring Mission in Umueje, Nigeria.
In the name of Jesus, on behalf of the poorest of the poor, please consider spreading the word about Maranatha, remembering the mission in prayer and if possible a gift would be most appreciated.
Service to the Poor and Elderly
With the help of a recently purchased motorcycle, the companions (Maranatha nuns to be) are able to do more evangelization in surrounding villages. They often times hand out clothing, food, divine mercy images, prayer cards and rosaries.
We have 200 patients on the waiting list for Cataract surgeries. As we perform more surgeries and the news travels, our list continues to grow. Some of these patients have suffered from various eye ailments for as long as 7 - 10 years. Now their eyes can be cared for in our Mission.
In September 2020, we added prenatal care as many women suffer so much during childbirth, especially in rural areas. These women will receive weekly instruction. Our first baby was born at the clinic on October 4, 2020.
